General Notes:
George Bond was born at Cowies Creek (Geelong) which today is known as Cario or Lovely Banks. At the age of 13 George learnt to shear and sheared for many years. He was married to his first cousin Emily Firmin daughter of George Firmin & Maria (Miriah) Geale in 1884. George purchased land at Yinnar for dairying. He was one of the founders of the Yinnar Butter Factory. George & Emily had a family of 9, six sons & three daughters. Two of the sons were WW1 Veterans, one of his sons was killed in action at Damascus. His property that he owned at Yinnar was known as "Horseshoe Vale" It was later classified by the National Trust.

George married Emily FIRMIN, daughter of George FIRMIN and Maria GEALE, in 1884 in Victoria, Australia. (Emily FIRMIN was born in 1860 in Ballarat, Vic and died in 1935 in Morwell, Vic.)
