bullet  General Notes:

In the 1841 Wales Survey, Ann Evans , Mary Evans and Margaret Evans the three people we have confirmation in the one family and for which we have birth dates for Mary and Margaret were living in Llanwonno, Glamorgan, Wales and with the remainder of the family. The name Rees for one of the boys seems significant as Mary's first child was not a Williams but Ester Ann Rees born when her husband John Williams was only a boy and was clearly not his.

"Mary, b. 1 March 1837. Lived in Treorci. Son, John, and two daughters, one of whom m. Rees, milkman (their son was Dai Rees, Treorci, d. February 1963)"*
* From a Monograph: 'Notes on the families of Rev. Morgan Humphrey Jones and Margaret Ann' Appendix 4.

In the 1871 Wales Survey, Ann Evans was living with her daughter Mary Evans and her husband John Williams. She is listed as widdowed and the Mother-in-law to John and was 70 years old.

Death date of Mary from Family Bible, via solicitors, her Notice of Internment by the Rhondda Urban District Council in the same grave as her husband and Death Certificate, Merthyr Dydfil, Dec Quarter 1921 Vol 11a Page 736. The person supplying the information for the Internment was B Williams, presumably her son Brinley. The service was conducted by the Rev R.E. Davies. The person supplying the information for Death Certificate was W Ernest Williams her grandson who was present at the death. Mary died in "Garthowen" Pentwyn Villas, Merthyr Dyfil.
