Robert married Lydia Violet Berry, daughter of Thomas Richard Berry and Florence Emily Ferguson, in 1937 in Vic. (Lydia Violet Berry was born in 1905 in Bungaree West, Vic and died in 1980 in Ballarat, Vic.)
