bullet  General Notes:

George was a postman and was a good worker but not a great dad. George did not chase other women and loved Eunice. They called each other Mum and Dad. George was however hard to live with and at one stage Eunice left him to stay at Marge's place. This was as a result of his drinking. Of the 10 pound he earned he would keep 5 for himself and only give 5 to Eunice. He would drink a lot.

The family lived in 4 rooms. Eunice and George in a double bed, Monica slept in the pram and this was her bed for many years, the 3 girls in a single bed and George Jnr on the leather couch in the lounge room. In the back room Marge and Joan had wire matress and they often fell off as it flipped. There was a tin bath and they all shared the same water.

George had chooks and the children remember eating some of the raw pollen and bran and reckoned it tasted good.

George Harold Randall was buried in the Cornelian Bay Cemetery, Hobart, Tas on 31 Oct 1970 at age 66 years in the RC Section CP Number 156
