Cricketer's Accident.

Oscar Lockley (27), who was admitted to the Hobart Hospital late on Sunday night, Should remember a cricket matchplayed at Adventure Bay on Saturday afternoon. Teams representing Hanson's and Murray and Francis's Mills were contestants, and Lockley was acting as Wicket-keeperwhen he had the ill fortune to stop a fast ball rising off a wet pitch with his leg instead of his glove. As he was not wearing pads the blow was severe, and crippled him, and it was first thought that his leg was broken, The SS Excella, which was making a fishing trip, delayed its returnto the cityan hour in order to take aboard the injured cricketer. At the local hospital it was ascertained that no break had occurred, but that a very painful bruise had been received.
